Shakshuka is a vibrant and flavorful Middle Eastern and North African dish made with poached eggs nestled in a spiced tomato and bell pepper sauce. Traditionally served with a crusty bread for dipping.

Instructions
- If using the oven, preheat to 375F.
- Heat oil in large skillet over medium-low heat. Add onion and bell peppers. Cook gently for 20 mins. stirring occasionally until soft.
- Add garlic and jalapeno. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add cumin, caraway, coriander, paprika, turmeric and cayenne. Stir until evenly distributed.
- Add tomato and coarsely chop with a wooden spoon or spatula. Let simmer until thickened, about 10 mins, stirring occasionally.
- Add salt and pepper. Add more to taste.
- Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top.
- Make 6-8 holes around the sauce using a wooden spoon or spatula. Gently crack eggs in the hole. Let cook for 1 minute.
- Transfer the skillet in the oven or simply cover the skillet and cook for 7-8 mins until eggs are just set (whites are cooked and yolks are still soft)
- Garnish with cilantro. Serve with toasted pita bread and sliced avocado.
